Importance of Dairy Farming


In the current world there are some profitable and prestigious occupation.  Dairy farming is one of them. It's a top rank business in the world. One can be successful in this sector within a few days. Importance of dairy farming are described in details here.

1.A great sector for new entrepreneurs :

At present, around the world,   a huge number of people want to be a successful entrepreneur but most of them are failed to reach the goal because of taking wrong  decision. They can't decide which sector is suitable  for them, which sector is  more profitable, needed less investment and easy to handle. For those people dairy farming  is a prospect.  To establish a  dairy farm ,relatively  low investment is required because it can be start with a few cattle. The housing  cost is very low and there is no high costly equipment needed in dairy farm. So, who want to be a successful entrepreneur it is suggested to them to Start with a dairy farm.

2.Solve of unemployment problem 

If we look around the world we can see a huge number of graduate have completed their graduation but still now they are jobless due to less job post. So they lead life as an unemployed. If dairy farm can be established more and more a huge number of job post will be created. As a result, unemployment problem will be solved quickly. Young unemployed should take decision to become dairy farm enterpreneur than a general job if it is possible. Local lob less farmers and labourers   get a great  source  of income to support their family.

3.Food and Nutrition supply 

Milk is highly nutritious food which is needed for all people specially for the children for better  growth. It is called ideal food because it contain almost all essential  nutrients including carbohydrate(lactose), fat, protein( casein) , minerals, vitamins and water(87 %). We get bone forming mineral calcium and other essential mineral including phosphorus, potassium etc.  A healthy people need 250 ml milk daily.  To fill up the need of milk dairy farming is most important sector. we get milk from direct cow milk or milk by products such as cheese, butter, kefir, yoghurt etc . Those people  who are lactose intolerants they usually take milk by products :yoghurt.  Besides milk supply, from dairy farm we get beef and veal which contain body building protein, energy giving fat. Veal is very delicious food.

4.Source of Biogas and fertilisers 

Waste materials of a dairy farm  also have a great importance. Waste materials including cow dung, urine, musty feed etc. We can Set up a Biogas plant in dairy farm and produce biogas  from these waste products. Using this gas we can cook. After producing biogas the remaining liquid manure  is  called slurry. Fertilisers can be produced from this slurry and use in soil to make it fertile for good production of fodder.

5.Economic importance 

In dairy farm, a milking cow produce average 20-25 litter milk daily, A dairy farmer can sell the milk in the market or in dairy by products producing factory. Farmers also can establish milk by products producing factory own and sell by products in own country or can export in foreign country. After using  gas in farm remaining gas can be sold in market. Fertilisers can be used in fodder production and remaining fertilisers can be sold.   As a result, national economy will increase. Culling a dairy cow is a source of income of a dairy farmer. Besides calf, heifer and bull can be sold one time in a year. Unemployed,  Labours get source of income so per capital income increase. As a result,  dairy farming plays a vital role in  national economy.
